Ross Taylor scored a blazing 81 runs off 33 balls as Bangalore Royal Challengers defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 6 wickets. Anil Kumble won the toss and put Kolkata to bat. Brendon McCullum (84 off 64 balls) and David Hussey (43 off 27 balls) top scored as Kolkata Knight Riders reached 173/4 in 20 overs. Bangalore Royal Challengers were struggling a bit and the required run rate went up as they kept losing on wickets. The required run rate went up to almost 12 in the 12th over itself and to 15 later on but then Ross Taylor came to their rescue as he smashed Bangalore bowlers to score 81 runs off 33 balls. Bangalore Royal Challengers reached the target only in 19.2 overs as they scored 176 losing 4 wickets.
